UT Rio Grande Valley (6-3)

UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros are establishing a football program, representing the university in Edinburg, Texas. The program is in development stages, bringing football to the Rio Grande Valley for the first time at this level. UTRGV's establishment of football reflects the university's comprehensive athletic ambitions and the Valley's passion for sports. The orange, green, and blue colors will represent distinctive South Texas branding. The program will emphasize recruiting throughout the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas, attracting local talent to represent the region. Football's arrival provides opportunities for Valley student-athletes to compete while remaining close to home. UTRGV will compete in the Southland Conference when the program launches. The Vaqueros will serve as tremendous source of pride for the Rio Grande Valley community. The program's development reflects UTRGV's growth and commitment to comprehensive athletics.
